Membership

Join Whatcom Rowing Association and become a member of the fastest growing rowing club in the PNW. Membership is NOT required for first season rowers, including Row for a Day, Learn to Row.

 

Membership Includes –
  • Unlimited use of the boathouse and land equipment (when not in class use)
  • A growing fleet of shells and oars from eights to singles
  • Exclusive use of city park property
  •  Access to a wide variety of regattas and recreational/social activities.
  • Low supervised class fees
  • Limited storage for private boats (for a fee).
  • Use of small boats with an Adult Boat-use Card (ABC – see below )

 

Junior Membership – $200 before 2/28 ($225 after)
Adult Membership – $275 before 2/28 ($300 after)

Family Membership: 25% discount on second participant membership. The discount will be applied to the membership of equal or lesser value.​
Adult Boat-use Card (ABC): $100 for unlimited use of boats for un-coached (no launch) rowing. This will take the place of the $5/use fee. Option will be available as an add-on for all Adult Membership registrations. Members are still required to sign out and in when rowing independently on the clipboard in the boathouse!
Payment Plans: During checkout you will have the option to opt-in to a payment plan with automatic billing. Payment plans for other programs will vary based on overall cost and length of the class.

 

INDEPENDENT ROWING
Lake Whatcom has over 10 miles of open water and three distinct basins perfect for rowing small boats. If you would like to take out small boats (1x, 2x, 2-) without a coach you will need to be checked out by  register for an Adult Boat-use Card (ABC).
Requirements: LTR I and Novice Masters or equivalent experience (director approval) and flip test.
If you would like to purchase a MBC but are not yet comfortable sculling on your own contact director@whatcom.org to schedule private lessons.
