We offer an adult program:

WRA offers Learn-to-Row classes that lead to participation in our Master’s Program. More experience rowers in our masters programs participate in competitive rowing in local and regional races. You should be a capable swimmer and have a basic level of fitness.

We offer programs for juniors:

We have novice and competitive programs for youth rowers, ages 12 -18, in middle and high school.  Our program provides an introduction to the sport of rowing and crew, basic fitness, conditioning, and safety on the water.  Teams race in local and regional regattas. You should be a capable swimmer and have a basic level of fitness.

Our Mission

The mission of the Whatcom Rowing Association (WRA) is to develop athletes in the sport of rowing in Whatcom County. WRA is a community rowing program and member of
US ROWING that provides education, coaching, and training sessions to create an environment of teamwork, health, fitness and competition. WRA promotes access to rowing by offering classes to athletes of all ability levels and a wide range of ages. All athletes from beginner youths to experienced masters will have the opportunity and be encouraged to race and compete.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, we are qualified to receive tax deductible gifts under section 170 of the Code. We are therefore classified as a public charity.
