Support WRA

Like many of you, Whatcom Rowing has been battling through the impacts of COVID-19. Each day approaches us with new existential questions, and we remind ourselves that the rowing community, and our collective passion gives us strength to keep fighting, and to make mental and physical wellbeing a priority.  This past year has come with a cancelled spring season, team size restrictions, boat restrictions, regatta cancelations and more.  While we closed the boathouse this spring, the work did not stop.

The WA State response to COVID is ever evolving, and WRA has shaped and reshaped the programming for juniors, masters, and learn to row. We have gone from 18 athletes: 1 coach to a much smaller ratio of 5 athletes to 1 coach. We have increased our inventory of singles to enable consistent & effective practices.  We anticipate the changes will continue into 2021. The reality is, that these changes have a financial impact on the organization and thanks to the hard work of our Board of Directors we have been able to make these changes without increasing dues.

Every gift, large or small, will help to make sure WRA can continue low cost programming well into the future. Thank you for investing in and helping WRA sustain a future for our community.
